Importation conditions to Australia have been simplified!

FEWER CONSTRAINTS, LESS STRESS!

That’s right, since 3 February 2014, it has become easier to bring your dog or cat into Australia!

The Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Test (RNATT) must be done within the year prior to departure	The Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Test (RNATT) must be done within two years prior to departure.
Quarantine lasts 30 days	Quarantine lasts 10 days

For dogs only, the latest blood tests and treatments must be done within 30 days and within 4 days prior to departure.	Now a bit more time to have the tests and treatments done! 45 and 5 days prior to departure

The process is still long, but these changes nevertheless facilitate the importation of your pet to Australia.

Of course, the most important factor is the time spent in quarantine which has decreased from 30 to 10 days! Less time away from your much-loved Felix 🙂

Over this ten-day period, the quarantine facility staff members will take great care of your cat or dog – feedback from our clients is always very positive.

At the moment, there are two quarantine facilities – in Sydney and in Melbourne, but take note, the Sydney quarantine facility will be closing their doors for good on 16 October 2015!

Don’t worry, even if you’re not counting on settling in Melbourne, your pet will be able to be accommodated in this quarantine facility, and we can handle picking them up after their ten days in quarantine, and getting them onto a national flight from Melbourne to most airports in Australia, so don’t hesitate to contact us!
